When printing Binaryen IR, we previously generated names for unnamed heap types
based on their structure. This was useful for seeing the structure of simple
types at a glance without having to separately go look up their definitions, but
it also had two problems:
1. The same name could be generated for multiple types. The generated names did
not take into account rec group structure or finality, so types that differed
only in these properties would have the same name. Also, generated type names
were limited in length, so very large types that shared only some structure
could also end up with the same names. Using the same name for multiple types
produces incorrect and unparsable output.
2. The generated names were not useful beyond the most trivial examples. Even
with length limits, names for nontrivial types were extremely long and visually
noisy, which made reading disassembled real-world code more challenging.
Fix these problems by emitting simple indexed names for unnamed heap types
instead. This regresses readability for very simple examples, but the trade off
is worth it.
This change also reduces the number of type printing systems we have by one.
Previously we had the system in Print.cpp, but we had another, more general and
extensible system in wasm-type-printing.h and wasm-type.cpp as well. Remove the
old type printing system from Print.cpp and replace it with a much smaller use
of the new system. This requires significant refactoring of Print.cpp so that
PrintExpressionContents object now holds a reference to a parent
PrintSExpression object that holds the type name state.
This diff is very large because almost every test output changed slightly. To
minimize the diff and ease review, change the type printer in wasm-type.cpp to
behave the same as the old type printer in Print.cpp except for the differences
in name generation. These changes will be reverted in much smaller PRs in the
future to generally improve how types are printed.

This makes Binaryen's default type system match the WasmGC spec.
Update the way type definitions without supertypes are printed to reduce the
output diff for MVP tests that do not involve WasmGC. Also port some
type-builder.cpp tests from test/example to test/gtest since they needed to be
rewritten to work with isorecursive type anyway.
A follow-on PR will remove equirecursive types completely.

Just like `extern` is no longer a subtype of `any` in the new GC type system,
`func` is no longer a subtype of `any`, either. Make that change in our type
system implementation and update tests and fuzzers accordingly.

`controlFlowDepth` is a variable used to print `delegate`'s target. When
printing nested blocks, we increase `controlFlowDepth` by the number of
nested blocks at once. But we should decrement it as we finish each
block, rather than decrease by the number of nested blocks at once,
because we need correct `controlFlowDepth` within nested blocks.

We do some postprocessing after parsing `Try` to make sure `delegate`
only targets `try`s and not `block`s:

But in case the outer `try` has neither of `catch` nor `delegate`, the
previous code just return prematurely, skipping the postprocessing part,
resulting in a binary parsing error. This PR removes that early-exiting
code.
Some test outputs have changed because `try`s are assigned labels after
the early exit. But those labels can be removed by other optimization
passes when there is no inner `rethrow` or `delegate` that targets them.
(On a side note, the restriction that `delegate` cannot target a `block`
has been removed a few months ago in the spec, so if a `delegate`
targets a `block`, it means it is just rethrown from that block. But I
still think this is a convenient invariant to hold at least within the
binaryen IR. I'm planning to allow parsing of `delegate` targeting
`block`s later, but I will make them point to `try` when read in the
IR. At the moment the LLVM toolchain does not generate such code.)

This improves validation of `catch` bodies mostly by checking the
validity of `pop`s.
For every `catch` body:
- Checks if its tag exists
- If the tag's type is none:
- Ensures there shouldn't be any `pop`s
- If the tag's type is not none:
- Checks if there's a single `pop` within the catch body
- Checks if the tag type matches the `pop`'s type
- Checks if the `pop`'s location is valid
For every `catch_all` body:
- Ensures there shuldn't be any `pop`s
This uncovers several bugs related to `pop`s in existing tests, which
this PR also fixes.

This attribute is always 0 and reserved for future use. In Binayren's
unofficial text format we were writing this field as `(attr 0)`, but we
have recently come to the conclusion that this is not necessary.

We recently decided to change 'event' to 'tag', and to 'event section'
to 'tag section', out of the rationale that the section contains a
generalized tag that references a type, which may be used for something
other than exceptions, and the name 'event' can be confusing in the web
context.

Previously we assumed catch body's size should be at least 3: `catch`
keyword, event name, and body. But catch's body can be empty when the
event's type is none. This PR fixes the bug and allows empty catch
bodies to be parsed correctly.

The fix here is to remove the code with
// maybe we don't need a block here?
That would remove a try's block if we thought it wasn't needed. However,
it just checked for exception branches, but not normal branches, which are
also possible.
At that location, we don't have a good way to find out if the block has other
branches to it aside from scanning its contents. So this PR just gives up on
doing so, which means we add an unnecessary block if the optimizer is not
run. If this matters we could make the binary parser more complicated by
remembering whether a block had branches in the past, but I'm not sure if
it's worth it.

I was previously mistaken about `rethrow`'s argument rule and thought
it only counted `catch`'s depth. But it turns out it follows the same
rule `delegate`'s label: the immediate argument follows the same rule as
when computing branch labels, but it only can target `try` labels
(semantically it targets that `try`'s corresponding `catch`); otherwise
it will be a validation failure. Unlike `delegate`, `rethrow`'s label
denotes not where to rethrow, but which exception to rethrow. For
example,

This also reverts some of `delegateTarget` -> `exceptionTarget` changes
done in #3562 in the validator. Label validation rules apply differently
for `delegate` and `rethrow` for try-catch. For example, this is valid:

```
But this is NOT valid:
```wasm
try $l0
catch ($l0)
try
delegate $l0
end
```
So `try`'s label should be used within try-catch range (not catch-end
range) for `delegate`s.

This adds support for reading/writing of the new `delegate` instruction
in the folded wast format, the stack IR format, the poppy IR format, and
the binary format in Binaryen. We don't have a formal spec written down
yet, but please refer to WebAssembly/exception-handling#137 and
WebAssembly/exception-handling#146 for the informal semantics. In the
current version of spec `delegate` is basically a rethrow, but with
branch-like immediate argument so that it can bypass other
catches/delegates in between.
`delegate` is not represented as a new `Expression`, but it is rather
an option within a `Try` class, like `catch`/`catch_all`.
One special thing about `delegate` is, even though it is written
_within_ a `try` in the folded wat format, like
```wasm

(do
...
)
(delegate $l)
)
```
In the unfolded wat format or in the binary format, `delegate` serves as
a scope end instruction so there is no separate `end`:
```wasm
try
...
delegate $l
```
`delegate` semantically targets an outer `catch` or `delegate`, but we
write `delegate` target as a `try` label because we only give labels to
block-like scoping expressions. So far we have not given `Try` a label
and used inner blocks or a wrapping block in case a branch targets the
`try`. But in case of `delegate`, it can syntactically only target `try`
and if it targets blocks or loops it is a validation failure.
So after discussions in #3497, we give `Try` a label but this label can
only be targeted by `delegate`s. Unfortunately this makes parsing and
writing of `Try` expression somewhat complicated. Also there is one
special case; if the immediate argument of `try` is the same as the
depth of control flow stack, this means the 'delegate' delegates to the
caller. To handle this case this adds a fake label
`DELEGATE_CALLER_TARGET`, and when writing it back to the wast format
writes it as an immediate value, unlike other cases in which we write
labels.
This uses `DELEGATE_FIELD_SCOPE_NAME_DEF/USE` to represent `try`'s label
and `delegate`'s target. There are many cases that `try` and
`delegate`'s labels need to be treated in the same way as block and
branch labels, such as for hashing or comparing. But there are routines
in which we automatically assume all label uses are branches. I thought
about adding a new kind of defines such as
`DELEGATE_FIELD_TRY_NAME_DEF/USE`, but I think it will also involve some
duplication of existing routines or classes. So at the moment this PR
chooses to use the existing `DELEGATE_FIELD_SCOPE_NAME_DEF/USE` for
`try` and `delegate` labels and makes only necessary amount of changes
in branch-utils. We can revisit this decision later if necessary.
Many of changes to the existing test cases are because now all `try`s
are automatically assigned a label. They will be removed in
`RemoveUnusedNames` pass in the same way as block labels if not targeted
by any delegates.
This only supports reading and writing and has not been tested against
any optimization passes yet.

This updates `try`-`catch`-`catch_all` and `rethrow` instructions to
match the new spec. `delegate` is not included. Now `Try` contains not a
single `catchBody` expression but a vector of catch
bodies and events.
This updates most existing routines, optimizations, and tests modulo the
interpreter and the CFG traversal. Because the interpreter has not been
updated yet, the EH spec test is temporarily disabled in check.py. Also,
because the CFG traversal for EH is not yet updated, several EH tests in
`rse_all-features.wast`, which uses CFG traversal, are temporarily
commented out.
Also added a few more tests in existing EH test functions in
test/passes. In the previous spec, `catch` was catching all exceptions
so it was assumed that anything `try` body throws is caught by its
`catch`, but now we can assume the same only if there is a `catch_all`.
Newly added tests test cases when there is a `catch_all` and cases there
are only `catch`es separately.

Previously Pops were printed as ({type}.pop), and if the popped type was a
tuple, something like ((i32, i64).pop) would get printed. However, the parser
didn't support pops of anything besides single basic types.
This PR changes the text format to be (pop <type>*) and adds support for parsing
pops of tuples of basic types. The text format change is designed to make
parsing simpler. This change is necessary for writing Poppy IR tests (see #3059)
that contain break or return instructions that consume multiple values, since in
Poppy IR that requires tuple-typed pops.

`BinaryIndexes` was only used in two places (Print.cpp and
wasm-binary.h), so it didn't seem to be a great fit for
module-utils.h. This change moves it to wasm-binary.h and removes its
usage in Print.cpp. This means that function indexes are no longer
printed, but those were of limited utility and were the source of
annoying noise when updating tests, anyway.

This adds support for the reference type proposal. This includes support
for all reference types (`anyref`, `funcref`(=`anyfunc`), and `nullref`)

Function signatures were previously redundantly stored on Function
objects as well as on FunctionType objects. These two signature
representations had to always be kept in sync, which was error-prone
and needlessly complex. This PR takes advantage of the new ability of
Type to represent multiple value types by consolidating function
signatures as a pair of Types (params and results) stored on the
Function object.
Since there are no longer module-global named function types,
significant changes had to be made to the printing and emitting of
function types, as well as their parsing and manipulation in various
passes.
The C and JS APIs and their tests also had to be updated to remove
named function types.

This is the start of a larger refactoring to remove FunctionType entirely and
store types and signatures directly on the entities that use them. This PR
updates BrOnExn and Events to remove their use of FunctionType and makes the
BinaryWriter traverse the module and collect types rather than using the global
FunctionType list. While we are collecting types, we also sort them by frequency
as an optimization. Remaining uses of FunctionType in Function, CallIndirect,
and parsing will be removed in a future PR.

Previously we didn't print an additional block when there are multiple
instructions within a `try` body, so those wast files cannot be parsed

`(catch ...)` itself serves as a scope.

This PR does not include support for many optimization passes, fuzzer,
or interpreter. They will be follow-up PRs.
Try-catch construct is modeled in Binaryen IR in a similar manner to
that of if-else: each of try body and catch body will contain a block,
which can be omitted if there is only a single instruction. This block
will not be emitted in wast or binary, as in if-else. As in if-else,
`class Try` contains two expressions each for try body and catch body,
and `catch` is not modeled as an instruction. `exnref` value pushed by
`catch` is get by `pop` instruction.
`br_on_exn` is special: it returns different types of values when taken
and not taken. We make `exnref`, the type `br_on_exn` pushes if not
taken, as `br_on_exn`'s type.

type to `exnref`.

This adds except_ref type, which is a part of the exception handling
proposal.
